The Social Services Director is responsible for establishing a comprehensive program designed to meet the social and psychological needs of the residents and their families. This may include intervention prior to admission to PARC PROVENCE, while the individual is a resident of PARC PROVENCE, and communication with outside agencies, upon discharge. The Social Services Director reports directly to the Health Care Administrator and must be a qualified Social Worker according to requirements of state regulations. This individual must have personal or professional knowledge of Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care. The Social Services Director will work with families, staff and residents to support the goal of Parc Provence which is to enhance the well-being of all who come through our doors.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications to effectively perform the following functions:
1. Communicate effectively with residents and families
2. Make independent decisions
3. Develop social services policies
4. Provide community resource referrals as necessary
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead staff training and orientation
To be considered, all candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Social Services and be a qualified Social Worker per Stare Regulations. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Social Services preferred.
