|The Director of Nursing is to ensure that quality nursing care is provided to each and every resident in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations. Serves as a role model/mentor for all CNAs, CMTs, LPNs, and RNs. Demonstrates exceptional customer service while providing timely and effective resident satisfaction techniques.
The Director of Nursing provides leadership, motivation and guidance to the nursing leadership team and direct care staff. Must maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with residents, co-workers, supervisor, and administration. Responsible for ensuring exceptional performance with clinical quality indicators and regulatory surveys. Leads the community’s quality improvement processes.
Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of Missouri. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of two years of supervisory experience in health care, although three or five years is preferred. Applicant must demonstrate ability to be pleasant, cheerful, tactful, and courteous when dealing with residents, staff and visitors. Applicant must have a working knowledge of long term care operational standards. These functions are not all inclusive. Position reports to the Executive Director.
