Assistant Veterans Home Administrator

The Missouri Veterans Home – St. Louis is seeking an Assistant Administrator. The St. Louis Veterans Home is a 300 bed skilled nursing facility which operates under the Department of Veterans Affairs and is part of the Missouri Veterans Commission. Our mission is to serve Missouri Veterans and preserve their independence and quality of life. This position is an integral part of our St. Louis Veterans Home Leadership Team.

The successful candidate ensures facility programs are planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet Veterans needs during and after normal business hours. This position will work either a day shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or an evening shift 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm to provide oversight to all operating departments in the building with an emphasis on customer relations and quality service. The Assistant Administrator assists in leading a workforce of over 370 employees and is responsible for adhering to a robust Quality Management System while maintaining fiscal budgets and regulatory guidelines.

To be considered, the successful applicant must demonstrate effective experience in long term care and hold a current Missouri Nursing Home Administrator’s license. Currently, this position is a temporary appointment with the potential for regular appointment which offers an extensive benefits package including:
