QUALIFICATIONS: Current, active licensure to practice professional nursing in Missouri. Graduate degree in nursing with a clinical component in either the bachelor’s or master’s degree; doctorate preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to successfully manage on and off campus instructional programs. Must be approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing prior to the appointment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain quality Allied Health programs. Consistently evaluate and recommend department improvements. Comply with Minimum Standards. Manage course schedules and instructor assignments. Report to accrediting agencies, state and federal vocational funding entities, and approved foundations. Contribute to selection, professional development, and evaluation of all Allied Health full and part-time faculty and staff. Contribute to instruction and evaluation of students. Uphold program policies including recruitment, admission, retention, promotion and graduation of students. Advise students. Maintain student records. Facilitate Advisory Committee. Serve as a liaison with local and regional health industry/health occupations responding to community educational needs within college guidelines and resources. Make budget recommendations and comply with budget. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SALARY: Dependent on education and experience. Excellent benefits including medical, dental, life, disability, and retirement (Public Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri) and 403(b) available. Some educational stipends for self, spouse and dependents available.
