Purpose: Loneliness, helplessness, and boredom are the plaques that Elders face, whether they are living in a traditional institutional setting or even in their own home. Join Joan Devine, Certified Eden Educator and Mentor, as together you explore how to lead your team in opening their hearts and minds to a new culture of aging, one which is resident directed and embraces the principles of the Eden Alternative.

Objectives
1. Discuss the 10 principles that guide The Eden Alternative.
2. Demonstrate hands on techniques and exercises that can be conducted with their care team in order to understand practices that can be implemented supporting the Eden Principles.
3. Develop an action plan to support further growth of a culture supporting person directed care both personally and for their care teams.
