Target Audience:  NHA, RN, LPN, AD, DM, RD/DTR, SW
CE Approved:  NHA (3 hours; Patient Care)
Program:  Registration 8:30 a.m., Program 9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Purpose:  To provide the necessary knowledge to recognize the signs and symptoms of early sepsis in the patient population that they care for and to decide if a tool/protocol would be useful in reaching this goal.

Objectives:

  1. Identify early signs and symptoms of sepsis.
  2. Develop an understanding of potential symptom misidentification in the elderly.
  3. Identify appropriate early interventions.
