Communication & Motivation in the Workplace (2.5 Administrative)
Purpose:
Let’s talk motivation! Are you self motivated? How do you motivate your staff? Motivation doesn’t come in a one-size-fits-all solution. Fortunately, there are ways to use communication and motivation to promote quality care and improve outcomes. This discussion will review the important role personality traits play in this effort as well as effective methods of self and staff motivation. Finally, Becky will assess risk factors during a crisis, such as COVID-19.

Nursing Outside the Box (2.5 Patient Care)
Purpose:
Join us as we discuss nursing professions and “outside the box” nursing options. This presentation will take a look at nursing post Covid and review what has changed as a result of the pandemic. In addition, data projections concerning available health care providers vs. the demand for care will be reviewed. Finally, we’ll identify methods of providing care to meet demands and evaluate “outside the box” avenues.

Speaker: Becky Duwe, RN, BSN, CNLCP Quality Practice Advisor for Anthem BCBS / Owner Collaborative Medical Legal Consulting, LLC. Clinical experience includes Quality Practice Advisor, Case Management, Home Health, Hospice, Long Term Care, Cardiovascular, Critical Care and Neurotrauma.
