Furthering Education for Nurses who Care for the Elderly (FENCE) is designed to enhance a nurse’s training in assessment, evaluation, and intervention of the long term care resident, as well as teaching skills in critical thinking and supervision of other caregivers. 

This course is 33 hours of face-to-face learning and 12 hours of self-study. You will need to have access to a computer with speakers for the self-study portion of this program.

Upon completion of the FENCE 45 hour training program and passing of the required exam*, the participants name will be listed on the FENCE registry. 
 
*At the conclusion of this course, you will be required to take a one hundred question multiple choice test. You must receive at least 80% to pass.
