Furthering Education for Nurses who Care for the Elderly (FENCE) is designed to enhance a nurse’s training in assessment, evaluation, and intervention of the long term care resident, as well as teaching skills in critical thinking and supervision of other caregivers. Upon completion of the FENCE 45 hour training program and passing of the required exam, the participant would be considered FENCE Certified.

FENCE training is being planned for the fall in Independence, Osage Beach, St. Joseph, and St. Louis.  Additional trainings are in the planning stages.  Contact Lori,
lori@mlnmonursing.org, for more information.
